It is interesting having four kids. I occasionally get asked, "How do you manage four kids?" I am always puzzled as to how I should answer. Should I tell them that occasionally I am insane? I have my moments when I wonder why I decided to be a stay at home mom (I have always wanted to be a mom); luckily most of the time I love my job. Usually I decide to answer the question by saying, "It's mostly learning how to juggle." Another thing that helps is my husband is the best! He will help me by taking the kids or helping around the house. Yes he does sometimes he will do laundry and clean bathrooms. Another thing that helps is my kids are getting old enough that they can do some things themselves so I can ask the older ones to help the younger ones. The main time I get stressed is taking four kids shopping. That can be hard because they all want to run around the store and I want them to be on their best behavior. Now that two of my kids are in school I try to run errands while they are in school so I don't have to take all four.
Our oldest, we call her "Ree", is a great help. She actually asks to help clean. Our second, "Vin", thinks he is Spiderman. He loves running and jumping. He is getting better about cleaning and helping. Our third, "Na", is a little mother. She loves to tell people what to do, just like her sister. Our youngest, "K", is at that age where he tests his limits. He doesn't want to go to bed on his own and will get up in the night if he isn't snuggling with someone.
Tonight we have SEP (Student, Educator, Parent) Conferences. We will see what we need to work on. (I think I already know most of what we need to do.)
