Our Na turned four today! She has enjoyed today, she told everyone we saw that today is her birthday. We had two Grandma's, one Grandpa, an aunt, uncle, and two cousins come over. Na was excited with the princess plate, bowl, and cup. She also liked the Ken, Barbie, and Barbie clothes. We also got her a color magic book and markers (she loved her brother's so we knew it would be a hit with her). She also got a Cinderella porcelin doll and horse, a giant sticker coloring book, some princess Potato head parts, an outfit, socks, and cash.
Our kids caught a stomache flu. It started on Wednesday with Na; it was bad for about the first 12 hours. On Thursday afternoon K started his turn. Then that evening Vin's turn and that night Ree's turn. Steve was good to me and took care of the kids Thursday night. There was no school Friday and Steve took the day off so he could get a little rest and help with the kids. The rest of the weekend we have been resting and recovering. The kids finally are feeling normal.
Today we went outside and played in the snow for a little while. Unfortunately it wasn't packing snow today so we couldn't build any more snowmen; we only have two and one-third snowmen (from the last couple storms).
For Christmas Steve got me the rest of the Children of the Promise series (WWII), I got the first book for my birthday a couple years ago, and the Hearts of the Children series (1960's through early 70's) by Dean Hughes. I really liked both series they helped me see and understand more about those years. I had to pace myself so I didn't read all ten books with no breaks. I do have a tendency to loose myself in the story. I just have to remember that people need me too. :D
