Creamy Chocolate Truffles

Every Christmas for about the last 10 years I have made these yummy truffles. My mom found the recipe and I got it from her.

Creamy Chocolate Truffles

16 oz. Hershey's Chocolate Bars (or Chocolate Chips)
8 oz. Cool Whip (thawed)
Vanilla Wafer crumbs (Graham cracker crumbs) or chopped nuts

Melt chocolate. Cool. Add Cool Whip, mix well. Drop by spoonfuls into crumbs or nuts. Roll and coat well. Refrigerate or freeze.

Makes about 52 Tablespoon balls.

(This picture is of a double batch:)

If the chocolate doesn't cool enough it will melt the whip topping. If it cools to much it will not mix smoothly and there will be chocolate chunks in it. You can adjust the chocolate to whip topping ratio for taste and texture.
