Saturday through this evening (Wednesday) I was a single parent. I've done it before with Steve's business trips but this time was a little different. The main difference is Steve and Mike DROVE to Philadelphia. I also got to deal with the first days of school and getting four kids up and ready so we could walk to school.
Steve's brother, Mike, decided to help his sister-in-law and her husband move from Utah to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He enlisted Steve's help. They pulled a trailer, which is big enough to hold four snowmobiles, full of all their belongings. Saturday morning Steve left our house about 5:30am and they left Mike's house about 6:30am. They took I-80 most of the way. Saturday night they spent the night in Des Moines. Sunday they made it to Philadelphia. Monday they unloaded the trailer then about 3pm MST they began the drive back. That night they made it to Toledo. Tuesday they drove until 1am, Wednesday morning. They slept at a rest stop about an hour and a half from the Wyoming/Nebraska border. Steve got home about 5pm. Needless to say Steve is exhausted.
I'm so glad they had a safe journey!

I'm so glad he's home safe! That is a long trip! Funny that your hubby came home from Pennsylvania & mine went there today!
You're amazing to do the single parent thing for the first day of school! Glad he's back!
I'm glad that they made it there and back safely. Plus, you lived to tell the tale.
They are so looney to travel that far and that fast. I know that Stephen was so tired that the thought had crossed his mind after he dropped Michael off to go to a motel and sleep for a day before he came home, but he was too excited to come home to the family and hear about their first day at school.
That is a long, fast drive cross-country! Toledo is only about 45 minutes from where I live in Michigan.
