Have you ever wanted to write something just to write something? I recently felt that with my blog. I looked at my blog and thought "I just blogged yesterday, why do I feel the need to blog again today?" I've actually thought that a few times recently. It's weird! Normally I can't think of the work I want to say. I'm still having a difficult time expressing myself. But now I'm wanting to write.
Like Rachel, sometimes I lay in bed and think of things to write. I don't want to get up and record my thoughts because I want my pillow.
In High School I HATED writing. I would wait until the last minute to throw together my essay, poem, etc. So they were not as good as they could have been.
Sometimes I wish I was like my grandma. She can put together those rhyming poems for any occasion. She has always written a note in our cards to express Grandpa and her love for us.

I wish I was one of those creative and interesting writers who could write about nonsense all day, just for the fun of it, and still keep my fellow bloggers entertained. I'm just not at that level yet :)
Maybe it's been a hidden talent that is now showing up. I wouldn't have guessed that you didn't like writing.
I can believe it! You hated to write! I love to write, and I'm 9!
Okay, I'm giggling. Really, I'd have to giggle if you were actually asking me this question face to face. This is part of what defines a writer: that she has to write. That she's driven to process the world through her writing. I think it was George Bernard Shaw who said something to the effect of: if a writer can take a break from her work, she should. Meaning, if you are able to stop writing, then you must not really be a writer.
I think what you're feeling, especially with this blog business, is the desire/delight/need/drive in/to connect. Some people love people and live in a world built out of them. Some people actually don't build their worlds this way. For those of us who do, connection is everything - you want to reach out, show who you are, see who someone else is, be understood and understand.
And writing about things you love is like running your life through your fingers.
This is your daily dance, Ch. Do it.
K- Thank you. I'd never thought of that.
