Fourth birthday celebration

In years past our family would go out to eat for birthdays. This year we decided to change our tradition. The birthday person will choose the dinner and we will eat at home. So our four year old chose his favorite. Mac N Cheese.

Doesn't he look so excited that we are celebrating his birthday?

This is the way he reacted to all his presents (even the cards)

Had to have the Bumblebee cake!

We told him it was time to blow out the candles. So he promptly leaned over and blew them out. We all laughed then told him we want to sing to him first. So we relit the candles and sang. Then he blew them out, this time it took three breathes to blow out the candles.

FUN! You got off easy. We've always had that tradition and for Madelyn's birthday on Tuesday she chose a Turkey dinner WITH all the trimmings. Tell him Happy Birthday!

That is what we do for our kids.....let them choose their favorite dinner. It always surprises me what they come up with.

What a fun birthday!

That's what we always did growing up. Now it just depends on what we are doing for their birthday whether we stay in and they pick or if we go out. Time sure flies. I can't believe he is 4 already!

How fun! Is the cake from Albertsons? I bet Steve doesn't break that tradition! I love the cake. I bet Allen will like that for his. I still loved your Kangaroo Zoo pictures from one of your posts. I might take Allen there for his birthday! So glad he had fun!
