Our stake took the fourth year and YCL’s to Moab for an overnighter and hike. We left about 4:30pm and got to camp in time to set up tents just before dark. Then we ate. That night the wind started blowing and ended up bending/breaking two of my tent poles. :( Luckily they were to the entry area and not the sleeping area. I’m not sure how much sleep I got but I spent a lot of time listening to the wind and watching the tent “dance.”
The next morning we packed up and took down the tents, ate, and enjoyed the morning.
Then we went to Negro Bill Canyon to hike to Morning Glory Bridge.
When we got there we were able to watch several people repel from above the bridge.
One of the YCL’s prepared a spiritual thought/devotional to share with everyone:
This trip made me excited for camp!

I am so sorry about the wind, broken poles, and watching the tent dance all night. I know how you feel. Other than that it sounds like it was a complete success! Great scenery too; thanks for the pics.
I love Moab! I'm so jealous, looks like a fun trip.
FUN!
That looks like it was so much fun!
How fun! Getting excited for Summer!
Natalie: I thought of your experience at Goblin Valley when the wind started blowing.
Kayce: it would be fun to take a trip with you guys down there.
Jealous! The desert landscapes of Utah have really grown on this California girl and now I love it! Your pics make me want to plan a hiking trip!
I wish I was a fourth year- then I could've gone with you guys!!!
You are so brave to go camping with the youth. They have so much energy that it is hard to keep up with them. It does sound like fun though, glad that you had fun.
That looked like so much fun, well except for the wind.. I love this warmer weather.. I am so ready for a good hike..
I love camp! You'll have a blast!
