Where does the time go?

I just realized that it's been a while since I posted. Oh well.

On Friday, April 4th Steve went to the Jazz game with some of his brothers. So I bought some Pizza Mia's from Pizza Hut and the kids (except Ree, she had a late night birthday party) and I took dinner to my Parents and the Curley's. Then during the Priesthood session of General Conference I took all the kids over and we hung out. We had ice cream with them when the session was over. Then when Steve was done with dinner with his Dad and some of his brothers, the kids and I picked him up.

The next week I spent preparing for Ree's late night birthday party. On Friday, April 11th we had 10 girls come over for her birthday party. We had pizza, cake, and vanilla ice cream. They played pin the microphone on the Hannah Montana poster. They also decorated foam frames, that we later put in a picture of each girl with the birthday girl. We also made bead bracelets with memory wire. We turned on "High School Musical 2" although most of the time they ran around playing instead of watching. They did love singing and dancing with some of the songs though. The party went from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Steve joked that if I ever did another party like this his is going to divorce me. He also said he'd rather do family parties than another late night party with that many girls.

This week I am preparing for Vin's birthday. This time we are hoping the weather will cooperate so we can have the party outside. We've invited 12 children. They will come over for lunch at about 1:00 pm. We will play some games around the Transformers theme that Vin chose.

This week is also spring break for the kids. It's been interesting having all four of them home all day playing and fighting. Today we went to the gym to break up the feel of being stuck at home; especially since yesterday, today and tomorrow have been unfriendly weather. Last Saturday we did some yard work. We mowed and trimmed the lawn, and tilled two of the gardens. I planted tulips (actually replanted since they were there before) and some lilies. I hope they come up! It will look so nice once the flowers start blooming. I started the carrots for the vegetable garden in some peat pellets. I need to start some pumpkin, zucchini, and watermelon. Hopefully within four weeks I'll be able to transfer them to our little vegetable garden.

Yesterday Ree decided she is a hair stylist. She gave Na a haircut. This is the second time she has cut hair within a week of me paying for a haircut. About a year and a half ago she did it to herself. I had to chop Na's bangs extra short. She also has a "shelf" on the left side instead of gradual (what's the word I'm looking for?) sloping. (That's not quite right. Oh well.)

Did I also mention that Steve is at a conference in San Fransisco? He left Monday afternoon. Luckily he gets home tomorrow so he'll have time to recuperate before Vin's party. Hopefully he'll have Friday off so he can help me out with the party.
