The week of Vin's birthday it was Spring Break. We had a party on the afternoon of his birthday. We had lunch (Pizza Mia's from Pizza Hut), played match the Autobots (a version of pin the tail on the donkey), we also had an obstacle course that they had to carry an allspark (a box duct taped) through the course. The course was walking/balancing on a board, going through a tunnel, zig-zagging through the swingset, climb up the stairs or "rock wall" then down the slide, run back to the line and give it to the next person in line. They really loved that, I think they did the course at least four times.
The baptism was at 10 am. We shared the baptism with the Cox family; their son Blake was also baptized. Most of our family was able to make it. We had five of Desiree's Great-Grandparents who were able to come. The program and the blessings were beautiful! After the baptism and confirmation we had our family come to our house for lunch.
3pm to 6pm that same day our neighbor had a birthday party for her 1 year old daughter. The kids played a game where you eat a marshmallow off a string without using your hands. They also got to hit five pinata's. Four of them were made of clay (that is how they make them in Ecuador). They also played pin the tail on the donkey.
Just after 6:30 pm my little sister babysat our kids while Steve and I went to the Jazz game. I got to meet Steve's boss and some of his coworkers. Some of them brought their wives. I have to say that it was a very interesting game. Mostly because there were a couple characters in the box! I have to say I see why Steve enjoys going to the games even though he prefers baseball. It was nice to get a date with my hubby!
What a busy Saturday!
