Yesterday I tried to access my external hard drive to get to my pictures. Guess what?!? It's not working. How frustrating! I have all my pictures and videos saved on it. I was in the middle of organizing them to put them on DVDs. So now I have two years of pictures that are gone, unless we figure out how to retrieve the pictures and video or pay $500 to $2000 for someone else to try to retrieve it. Now I wish I'd printed a copy of each of the pictures so that I could scan those back into my computer. Not only do I have at least two years of digital pictures and videos on that drive, but two years ago I compiled pictures for a video for my parents. All that is gone, so if I want those pictures I have to rescan them into the computer. I also was almost finished with scanning in pictures from Steve and my dating and the years before was got a digital camera.
I don't want to pay the money to have that information recovered. We are unsure about trying it ourselves (we don't want to mess up the drive more). At the same time those pictures are not replaceable. Talk about frustrating!!!

Well so I finally got on and found your blog, since we talked at Carrilynes baby shower. My husband Nathan does alot with computers, thats somewhat of what he went to school for. I told him you problem about the hardrive and he wanted to know if you have tried it on another computer, he is just trying to see if he can help you get those pictures off. It's a conspiracy!!! Something is traveling through the power systems in our neighborhood cuz our's has gone kapoot too!!!
