On Monday my Dad turns 50. So tonight we had a party for him. My sister and mom planned it and invited family and several friends. They told my dad that they were going to have a family BBQ for his birthday. One of the friends mentioned the party to him so he found out early that it was a big party. Oh well, I know he enjoyed the party. I put together a movie with pictures from the last 50 years.
This morning Vin and Ree had their first piano recital. They did really good. They were both nervous. I'm very proud of them for practicing so hard and learning the music!
Yesterday we had Kayce's bridal shower. I finally got to meet her mom and some of her family. It was an open house, Nicole and I had a few games for the guests to play.
Thursday we had the back to school open house. We had a meeting at the beginning to have the principal and teachers introduced. Then we went to meet Vin's teacher then Ree's teacher. Afterwards we drove to my parent's house so Nicole could watch the kids while Steve and I went to the temple with my brother.
Wednesday night I picked up Steve from the airport while Nicole watched the kids. Steve left Saturday to fly to Boston for a business conference. He was able to go to a Red Sox game while he was there. He brought home a hat for Vin and K and shirts for Na, Ree, and I.
As you can tell we've been having fun. A big "Thank You!" to Nicole for all the babysitting!

Can you believe that school has started and summer is over???? Seriously ticked here down the street.........
Sounds like you've had a busy summer. I hope that the school routine will be an easy one to get back into and that your kids will like their classes.
