Sympathy Puker (sp?)

Prepost note to Sherry: JoD is teaching the kids. I'm VERY impressed with her.

Warning: Today's post is not for those who don't like throw-up stories.

Today Vin swallowed a lot of air and water at swimming lessons. He ended up with a tummy-ache. After a snack he felt better. Later, I dropped the girls off at tumbling then ran to pick up some dinner. On the drive Vin was making his "I don't feel good" sounds. I asked him if he was okay. He said he was. As I was pulling into the parking lot to take dinner to the girls he was making those sounds again. I quickly parked and was hurrying to open his door. I didn't make it in time. Gross! What a mess! Usually I get Steve to clean it up, but he was still at work or driving home. As I was cleaning it up I had to take several breaks; I'm a sympathy puker(sp?). I was able to get the worst of it cleaned up. Now to get the carpet in our vehicle professionally cleaned, and hopefully get rid of that smell!

I know that Vin gets motion sick, but only in vehicles (he LOVES all the crazy rides at the amusement parks). Most of the time I make him keep a plastic bag by him in the vehicle, but today he didn't have it.

Oh....I am sooooo sorry, but I totally can relate. I can't even be in the same room or I'm right there WITH them. I would always use the "excuse" "Here, let me go get you a glass of water for when you are done."

Oh Poor YOU! That is nasty! I always make Brian clean it up if/when he's around. I feel terrible because here are these little beings wretching up their toe nails and I'm outta there! You're on your own kid!

This story'll make you puke out right......when I was growing up my little sister was sitting in the front seat of our car. She had to hurl and hurl she did. She hurled right into the dash board and a majority of it went into the heating vent system. Now,you wanna talk about sick....every time we had to turn on the heat (we lived in MT so we HAD to) that car would fill up with the stench of puke and eventually we all had windows rolled down heads hanging out the windows wretching. This went on for YEARS! Never could get it all out of the system. We met each winter with fear and trepidation at the thought of having to ride in that car.
