Easter and a birthday

I was debating when to post since we have a lot going on this week. After loading my pictures on my computer I decided it would be better to post now instead of when we are finished celebrating. This will be a longer post.

First, Friday evening we went to a family party with some of the family. It was fun to visit!




Here are pics of the "hunt". This year each kid got a goody bag instead of eggs.


Ree gave this bag to one of the younger kids following her.



Then Saturday evening we had another party with more family.

Doesn't this "teater totter"(sp?) look fun?


Next, Grandma organized the egg hunts; one for the younger kids and one for the older kids.

Since it was wet we ended up in the carport instead of in the field around the fire.



Sunday morning we got to find the eggs and presents. This year the kids got flip flops and a swimsuit as well as candy.

Since Easter Sunday was also Ree's 9th birthday she got to open some more presents.


She got "The Tale of Despereaux" and a little digital camera.
That evening we enjoyed some Strawberry Shortcake.



Tonight we went out to Tucanos; Ree's choice. Then came home for cake and more presents. (Please excuse my counter, I can't seem to keep it clean.)

She loves the clothes!

Ree is holding onto the ring that is stuck in her frosting. When she tried to pull it out, using one hand, she ended up picking the whole thing up.


Off to prepare for more partying!
