A surprise for Conference Weekend

We were thinking about getting this surprise Thursday night, but decided that Ree and Vin would not be able to concentrate at school Friday if we did. So Friday night on his way home Steve stopped and picked up the surprise. I helped him get them (yes, two) into the back yard. Then we had the kids come out and their faces lit up when they saw the Lab puppies. (Their mother is a purebred, not sure about the father, he jumped the fence to get to her. They said he looked like a lab. Not sure if he was purebred.)

They ran and played. One time the puppies were so excited they started jumping and nipping at Ree, she was yelling and in tears. "Mom, save me! Do something they are biting me!" On the other hand K was running and laughing.

That night was had each kid give us a few boy names and girl names. We ended up with six boy names and eight girl names. We then put all the boy names in a hat and had Vin and K each pick out a name. Then Steve picked from those two and the boy's name is Hawk. Then we did the same with the girl names. After Ree and Na picked, I picked from those two. The girl's is named Kenzie.

They were born Valentine's morning. Which makes them seven weeks old. We are working with them so they can be inside/outside dogs (our preference).

Today we had our next door neighbors come over so the girls could meet Hawk and Kenzie. Even when kids (our kids as well as the neighbor girls) grab them most of the time they tolerate it.

Oh, and our fence was finished. It's so nice!

Yay! A new fence!

Smart getting the two puppies. They'll entertain each other and won't get into as much trouble because they are borred which is where a lot of behavioral problems come from.

How fun for the kids!!

I'm totally dog person- I just don't like dog hair and poop! So I love to play with OTHER people's puppies! I like the idea of getting two!
