K's arm is swollen but healing nicely (no surgery, unless it doesn't heal properly)! He will be kept in the splint until the swelling goes down then probably get a cast.

WOO HOO! That is good news! At least he'll get the cast done and over with before the hot sweaty summer begins!
I broke my right arm when I was younger and it didn't heal properly, so I had to have surgery on it. Hopefully it won't come to that and everything will heal up the way it should.
I hope that his arm heals correctly.

That sounds good, it will be so nice one he gets in a cast. then you wont have to worry as much since it will be protected.. Hopefully he wont need surgery...
