Vin has two day of school and Ree has four. Tomorrow is field day so they will only be in school until 1pm. Wednesday is Kindergarten graduation. Thursday is Ree's end of the year party. Friday school gets out at 11:30am. So does it really count as a day if they get out early? I'm sure my kids would argue that it does since they have to go to school.
This last week has been fun. I got to go with the Kindergarten class to watch "Enchanted" on Thursday for the High Flyer's Reading Club. I had four kindergartners to keep track of from the bus through the movie and back to the bus. They were really good. The boys had a hard time enjoying the movie through the "girly" parts (as they put it). It was so funny to hear the theater echo with "ewww!" whenever there was a kissing scene! While I was sitting in the theater before the movie began I was asked to help on the PTA committee for the next year. Since I'll be working with a committee collecting Box Tops I agreed. I haven't been involved in PTA before so this should be a good way to begin my participation.
Steve took Friday off so we could have a long weekend. We were going to go camping, but the weather didn't cooperate so we stayed home. Saturday we did some things around the house and played. Sunday I was in charge of Sharing Time. I hope the kids liked it. I know when Steve and I talked to our kids at dinner about what they remember from church none of them mentioned Sharing Time. Oh well!
Today we've had a busy day. This morning we went to Platt's at 9:30 am for breakfast. After breakfast we came home and changed and let the kids have a snack. Then we went to Gold's Gym, Steve and I played racquetball. I won the first match, he won the second and third. We started playing a fourth and I got my second wind just in time for our time to be up. After we got home and cleaned up we were starving. It was 4:30pm. My family was having a BBQ at 6pm. Nobody wanted to wait that long to eat. So we went to Chili's for dinner. As we were waiting for our food Steve looked at me and said, "You look tired." I agreed that I was exhausted. After dinner we came home and had FHE. Then we put away laundry and the kids went to bed. Now I'm wondering how early I can go to bed and still sleep through the night. There is nothing more annoying than waking up between 3 am and 6 am and not being able to go back to sleep until it's time to get up.
