Thanksgiving Advents

I love advents! (Did you read this post?) So this year I made a new one for Thanksgiving. I got this idea from this website. This is what mine looks like
at the beginning:

when it is finished:

I used four pieces of cardboard. Two 10"x10" and two 8"x10". Glued scrapbook paper to them. I cut 2"x2" squares out of yellow paper. I used Thanksgiving and fall stickers to decorate. I used Velcro to attach the squares. The envelope is for holding the squares. I tied the cardboard pieces together with string.

This is the advent I made a couple years ago.

This is on a poster board. I found a turkey picture, copied it, and colored it. After I cut the feathers out of construction paper. I laminated all the pieces. I use Velcro to attach the feathers. I have 30 spots for feathers, This month we started with three feathers already attached. The kids take turns each day. I keep track of who did the Thanksgiving feather each year so each kid gets a turn to do it on Thanksgiving.

P.S. I super glued part of a dowel to the back of the poster. If you don't it curls up when hung.
