Adventures in School shopping

I was debating about how I was going to do school shopping with my kids. I knew, from past experience, that I didn't want to take them all at the same time. So I talked to my Mom and set up an afternoon/evening that she could help me out. Yesterday, I took my kids over to her house and Ree, Na, and K stayed and played while I took Vin to the shopping center by her house. We went to Payless Shoe Source and Wal-Mart. He loved having me focus on him and not having to compete with his siblings. Then I went back to my parent's and picked up Ree. She and I went to Kohl's, Payless Shoe Source, and Wal-Mart. Then Na and I went to Wal-Mart. I even took K to Wal-Mart so he could pick some stuff out, even though he is to young to go to school. K and I picked up some drinks and pizza and shared with my parents and the Curley's.

Each of my kids told me they had so much fun and were glad to have the "Mom and Me" time. Even though I spent more time shopping than we usually do, I'm glad I did it that way!

How fun. I think that is a great way to do it. I bet the kids just loved it.

Such a great idea! Remind me of this in 3 years (or so). :)
